Setting Targets & Taking Steps
Setting Targets & Taking Steps
If you have ever sat through our Service Business Accelerator workshop, then you will be familiar with the following TSS Strategy Cards and Business Roadmap. We developed this process to make setting and tracking targets owners want to implement in their company far simpler. After all, that is the goal of any business process, to make things simple and repeatable. So, setting targets for your business also needs to be easy to do. When something is easy to do you are likely to act, and if it is something challenging, then you want as many tools as you can get your hands on.
At the end of the day, The Service Strategist wants to make operating your business as smooth as possible, and the TSS Cards and Roadmap embody the same simplicity.
Have an idea? There’s a card for that!
Taking Steps
The TSS Cards are meant to be used! That means whenever you hear, see, or have an idea, write it down. By just writing down your new target, brings it one step close to being implemented. Then when you have time, sit down at the end of the work week, and then evaluate the target according to three metrics: Money, Time, and Passion. Let’s walk through how to fill out a TSS Card.
The Road Map is the companion material that helps you organize your TSS Cards and to track which targets you will deal with first. Another part of the road map is listing who your accountability partner will be for that particular target. Once you have established a priority, a timeline, and a partner, you are ready to start taking steps toward your goal. Let’s walk through the final steps.
